Designed with cold Canadian arctic winters in mind, the deluxe calfskin outer layer features a sidewall construction to allow ample room for the removable liner. Elasticized wrists ensure a snug fit to keep the elements out, and all seams are fully welted for durability. The extra-wide, double-layer nylon gauntlet cuff to is made of a soft nylon and the thick pile in the removable cheek wiper is kind to your skin in sub-zero temperatures. Overall mitt length is 17" to fit over parka sleeves, with straps for tightening and adjusting, and a loop at the end of the gauntlet cuff for hanging gloves when drying or storing. The removable liner is the best we have ever designed, consisting of four separate layers of material that provide incomparable warmth. The two layers in the middle are cut from 400-grams-per-square-meter Thinsulate. These are then sandwiched between two foam-to-fleece laminate layers, and the whole liner is easily removed using velcro for easy drying.
